MY PERSONAL VIEW IN LEARNING COMMUNITY

Learning is everywhere, It is an acquisition, through maturation and experience of a new and more knowledge, skill, and attitudes that will enable the learner to make better and more adequate reaction, responses and adjustments to a new situation and conditions. As we grow old our learning capacity expanded, through experiences and we learn a lot from it, and there is a saying stated that " experience is the best teacher " so, as we encounter so many experience in life more knowledge we learn. People usually learn through communication, because in this way, we do sharing and imparting knowledge, ideas, discoveries and principles within the community.

We learn in so many ways, day by day and we developed our selves individually by engaging the three types of learning which are the Cognitive learning, Affective learning and the Psychomotor learning. As far as i understand, Cognitive learning is the acquisition of knowledge, facts, information, principles, ideas, concept, understanding, reasoning and etc; while the affective learning is the formation of good and acceptable attitudes, judgments, appreciation and values such as honesty, integrity, punctuality, piety and etc; and the psychomotor learning is involve the use of muscles in bodily movement, the reflexes are specially important, because the activities are usually responsive to a certain stimuli.

community is a group of people living, socializing and interacting in a particular local area with the same goal and perspective in a village or community, but being a part of the community should become more responsible enough and respect the different culture within, in order to have a good an progressive community, learning in a community is a very nice and such a good opportunities for people, because learning in a community is another way to be more aware in life and people may discover a lot if he/she will adapt the different culture inside the community. The concept of “learning communities” is
currently one that is to the fore of much educational and organisational literature and discussion.
In the literature (
Kilpatrick, S et. Al.,2002) The significant part of the community are the people around it, that act and contributes as a member of the group. Appreciating the different culture inside the community is very significant factor that could build a good and peaceful community and people could unite if they will respect each other.

A learning community is a group of people who share common values and beliefs, are actively engaged in learning together from each other. Such communities have become the template for a cohort-based, interdisciplinary approach to higher education. This is based on an advanced kind of educational or 'pedagogical' design (Lovett, 1975). Learning community is a source of knowledge through adapting other people's idea, concepts, beliefs, principles and etc; that enhance people socialization skill and communication skill that could bring people into a high standard community. Adult Education and the Community, is one of the most coherent contemporary discussion of learning outside conventional educational frameworks (Stephen Brook field's, 1983). Hence, if there is someone set as a dominant in a group, a leader that has a good interest, desire and a nice wide perspective for the community, the community were no longer improve the facilities and etc.The term “learning communities” is being defined and used in diverse and flexible ways (
Yarnit, M., 2000).

Transformational learning of 21st century skills requires a strategy of infusing learning communities throughout students’ lives - orchestrating the contributions of many knowledge sources embedded in real-world settings outside of schools (Partnership for 21st Century Skills 2003). Technology in learning community nowadays has a big contribution, specially in information technology, which providing a lot of information that will also educate people in so many ways. A lot of information can be gain through accessing the websites. Website is one of the common source of information by using computer, it is a nation wide connection. Become competent learning communities we need to become teaching community (integrity@ceptualinstitute.com); one-way or the other teaching is learning in such a way that we learn if someone teach us at the same time the person who teach us will also learn through observing and interacting with us.

Information technology contribute a lot in learning community, it is use to educate people within the community, nowadays many people become dependent on the technology around them, that's why some of us become lazy in so many ways. Information technology (IT), helps a lot in the field of technology all over the world. As an organizational arrangement, the professional learning community is seen as a powerful staff development approach and a potent strategy for school change and improvement (http://www.sedl.org/change/issues/issues61.html). Technology is very important for us especially to the student which can save more time and energy in making school works. One thing also is that through technology, we can make our duties easier like those who are working in office. It is possible right now that through technology we can no longer go to our offices to do our duties. It has been my experience that the effective use of technology allows a more equitable expenditure of school district funds. The use of technology, even though viewed by some as expensive and unnecessary, creates a cost-efficient mechanism that gives students access to materials and resources that were previously unavailable. But with the use of computers, we can make some transactions online. On the other hand, technologies have also its disadvantages and problems we encounter.

Hence, as a part of the community learning, I will adapt and appreciates the various type of culture that within the community which can provide more knowledge and awareness to my life and I will contribute anything that could help the community to become a better and a progressive community as well.
